MAVERICK provides many roads to success.

One of the things our employees love best about working at MAVERICK is the potential for ongoing growth and development. See the different career paths our employees have taken and read the stories of how they got there.

Lynn Njaa, Sales Specialist

“Since I started working for Instrument Control Services back in 1993, we were acquired by GE Automation Solutions in 1998, then by MAVERICK in 2008, and finally by Rockwell in 2016. Though the name of the company has changed over the years, the core team and culture has remained intact. As opportunities have presented themselves, I’ve taken the chance to move into various challenging roles both technical and commercial that have finally landed me in the position I’m in now. Growing my career within an organization that values work/life balance has made for a great quality of life for me and my family. Our company engagement with employees is also a big plus as it makes work more fun and helps develop good relationships with our coworkers.”

Ram Ramamoorthy, Strategic Manufacturing Solutions Operations Manager

“I’ve been with MAVERICK for 15 years, starting in an engineering role and then moving to a project management position on up to my current role working as Operations Manager for the Sustaining Services business and Automation Solutions North. Along the way, MAVERICK has provided me with challenging opportunities and a great group of people to work with. The company promotes entrepreneurial and outside-the-box thinkers.”

John Cramer, Performance Excellence Manager

“Right after graduating from college, I joined the MAVERICK team in 2001 as an Engineer I. Throughout the past 17 years, MAVERICK has provided me with great opportunities to help me succeed and grow, allowing me to reach my full career potential. I have had the opportunity to work in several industries, starting in the food and beverage industry and then moving to the oil & gas industry. With MAVERICK’s support, I was able to attend night school earning a master’s degree in engineering management in 2006. I really enjoy working with all the great people at MAVERICK.”

Mike Gavin, Business Manager

“I first came to work for Paul Galeski in 1998 as a Senior Engineer with MAGNUM Technologies (which became GE Automation Services – GEAS) where I eventually took on project management. In 2002, I moved over to MAVERICK Technologies® (acquired GEAS in 2005) and have held several positions, including Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Regional Manager, Director of Sustaining Services, Senior Director of Performance Excellence/IT, Operations Manager, and Senior Director of Operations. In my current role as Business Manager, I have the pleasure of working with an amazing group of leaders who are responsible for driving our business forward. Through our coordination of 15+ offices and 330+ employees we enjoy working hard and playing even harder. I am blessed to work, day in and day out, with so many of the great people at MAVERICK.”

Abigail Jost, Engineering Team Lead

“Working at MAVERICK has opened many doors for me. Since joining the team, I have had the opportunity to work in multiple industries and get hands-on experience with various control platforms. Additionally, I have been able to expand my skills outside of day-to-day duties through MAVERICK’s Mentor and Talent Lead programs. In my new role as an Engineering Team Lead, I get to guide and mentor other young engineers as they grow in their own careers.“

Dawn Lewis, Senior Project Manager

“I started my career with MAVERICK as an intern in 2002. For the next 16 years, I worked my way up doing various jobs as an engineer and then site manager until my current position as a Senior Project Manager. At each step along the way, I’ve been lucky to have worked with and learned from some great MAVERICKs. That’s one of the things I enjoy about working here – we all work together, putting our skills to use while learning from each other at the same time. The depth of knowledge among my co-workers, past and present, in offices throughout the country, is so impressive. I also love the work/life balance that I’ve been able to maintain with my family of five. I don’t miss out on the important stuff just because I’m a senior manager. I can honestly say family comes first at MAVERICK.”

Derek Hawkins, Operations Manager, Operational Consulting

“What I feel makes MAVERICK different than other companies is the entrepreneurial spirit that the company encourages, starting at the executive level, in addition to the high level of integrity and vision for success. This has given me the opportunity and the confidence to push myself further and ask my leaders for added challenges when I felt I was ready to advance to the next level. MAVERICK has proven that if you put in the work and show the desire and ability to take on new challenges, they will support those moves and mentor you to be successful. Since starting at MAVERICK in 2006 as a mid-level engineer, I have taken on various roles between engineering leader for a large program to a senior project manager for a diverse portfolio across different industries and technologies. These roles ultimately opened the opportunity for me to lead the operations of MAVERICK’s enterprise integration business practice. Through our acquisition by Rockwell Automation, additional opportunities presented themselves and my operations leadership role expanded to the Americas Regional Delivery Manager where I supported the growth and alignment of both MAVERICK and Rockwell Automation teams in the Information Solutions space. I am currently leading MAVERICK’s Operational Consulting group which is a nationally spread team of veteran and highly skilled consultants supporting the DCSNext® offering and FEL based consulting engagements.”
